good book for seismic geotechnical engineering
All the topic included are really very useful and hard to find in other sources., but the paperback copy is no good quality.
This monograph by Prof. Towhata is a timely and comprehensive presentation useful to practicing professionals and educators alike.It is nearly ten years since a similar effort by Prof. Kramer; thus, the updating and special style of noting the levels of content are especially useful. The size of this volume allows graphical depictions that are concise and yet clear. Such a hard copy presentation is an excellent handbook. Towhata has also provided an E-mail address whereby he solicits comment and/or critique, and responds promptly. Although the title speaks for itself, I must advise prospective purchasers that I have presented several copies to close colleagues and students. The cost, via Amazon, is particularly reasonable; you will not be disappointed !!
